Special Places - Letting Off Steam

An Historic Event:  The last steam train at the old Lilydale Station 10/7/21 as a covid lockdown was lifted.

The new station was about to be opened.

I decided to paint this locomotive as I wanted to capture this moment where train enthusiasts gathered.

Also it was possible my father may have been the driver of this engine once upon a time.
