Local Warrandyte Artist

Since discovering the vibrant and versatile pastel medium nearly 10 years ago, Pauline has set about satisfying her inner urge to faithfully recreate what she sees into her paintings.

Her favourite subjects include the Yarra river and environs near her home in Warrandyte, seascapes and landscapes (especially outback Australia with its aridness, warmth, blue skies, distinctive rusty red rocks, sand and variations in vegetation).

Through these paintings Pauline seeks to enshrine her memories of her favourite vistas for the pleasure of others who may have or would like to visit these majestic places.

However, Pauline is not averse to attempting other challenging subjects such as the occasional portrait, pets, animals, birds, interesting buildings and architecture.

Her favourite colours are warm browns, yellows and reds and she loves the challenge of capturing the variations of light as it impacts on her subjects.

Pauline is a foundation member of the Pastel Palette, a member of the Pastel Society of Victoria,  Australia, the Australian Guild of Realist Artists (AGRA) and Warrandyte Arts.
